Can I get full refund if flight is cancelled due to covid-19 outbreak or Lockdown?

If you booked a flight Ticket before Covid-19 outbreak or during lock-down and your flight is cancelled then this post is for you!. Direct ticket booking in the airline website/App

 
If your ticket booked by self in the airline portal or app then you have the right to get a full refund if the flight has been cancelled due to technical issue / weather issue or any circumstances. But most of the cases airline executive call to passenger and offer the alternate flight as per passenger comfort if you OK with
this then executive will reschedule the ticket according to your selected schedule. Otherwise you can ask for the refund and according to airline rules refund amount
will be credited on main payment source by 7–14 working days but due to COVID-19 outbreak all are working with less staffs so, may be it will take longer then usual time.

Online Portal / App

If you booked your flight tickets through Online Portal/App like (Skyscanner, makemytrip, goibibo, Yatra, VIA(DOT)COM, Easymytrip etc.) then they will refund the full amount except service Charge. But according to airline rules refund amount will be credited on main payment source by 7–14 working days but due to COVID-19 outbreak all are working with less staffs so, may be it will take longer then usual time.
 

Ticket Booked Through Local Travel Agent:

If you booked your ticket through Local Travel Agent and due to covid-19 outbreak if you flight is cancelled then just inform to your agent and ask to process the refund and on the same way of online portal /app they will refund the full amount also except service charge. But in few case travel agent process the refund very quickly as its depend on your relation with travel agent and most of the cases they will refund to you after getting the refund from airline so, may be it will take few more time.
